The Ball |
The classic trademarked Wiffle Ball is about the same size as a regulation baseball, but is hollow, lightweight, of resilient plastic, no more than 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick. One half is perforated with eight .75-inch (19 mm) oblong holes; the other half is non-perforated. |

The bat is a hollow, hard plastic, yellow bat that measures 32 inches (810 mm) in length and about 1.25 inches (32 mm) in diameter. other wiffleball bats may also be used. |

Seven (Home Run with all bases occupied -- aka Grand Slam). A player scores a run for every base he/she reaches after hitting the ball. They will not subsequently score when moving around the bases on another player's hit. The ball can be hit (and scored off) in any direction. |
International Wiffleball Field:
- Square = 100' x 100'
- Distance between Bases = 42'.
- Edge of Field = Boundary, boundary line, or a boundary rope.
- Bases = Designated by poles/sticks, rubber bases, or bags.
- The Bat is any size wiffleball bat.
- The Ball is any size wiffleball.
- 3 innings in which all 4 players bat and ends when all 4 players are dismissed or stranded on base.
- Teams may be coed, though they are not required to be.
- 4 players are on the field at any one time; min of 4 and max of 10 on roster.
- Positions = 1B,2B,3B,HB; all players act as both baseman and fielders.
- Similar to rugby, both teams must wear their dark color uniforms during games unless either 1) the teams share similar colors or 2) if someone is colorblind; If that is the case, the designated home team will wear their dark color uniforms and the away team will wear either 1) their lighter color uniforms or 2) an alternative darker color uniform.
- A coin toss will decide which team bats first and last.
- Batting Order = 1B,2B,3B,HB.
- Delivery = batter places the ball at home plate tee and attempts to hit it.
- Bunting = not allowed / No Foul Balls.
- Missed swings count as strikes.
- All Players must hit both left and right-handed.
- All players may take at most 2 practice swings.
- Players may look at the ball while attempting to swing.
- Runners cannot use bats while advancing the bases; It is not legal to lead off/steal bases.
- # of Referees = 1.
- Dismissal procedure = automatic.
- Strikeout = 3 missed swings.
- Fly-out = catching ball before landing.
- Tag-out = tagging runner or base before runner touches base.
- Interference = batter or runner intentionally interfering with the fielding side.
- Handled the ball = batter intentionally touching the ball with hand.
- Batting Team:
- # of base runs = # of pts.
- Home Run = 4pts + numbers of base-runners.
- Fielding Team:
- Fly-out = 1pt.
- Tag-out = 1pt.
- Interference = 1pt.
