Universeball Court:
- For Indoor courts, it is usually made out of a wood, often maple, and highly polished.
- Outdoor surfaces are generally made from standard paving materials such as concrete or asphalt.
- Overall Dimensions = 84-94' x 50'.
- 3-point Arc = 19'9"-23'9".
- Center Circle = 12' diameter.
- Goal Zone (Red) = 24'10"-25' x 12'.
- Distance between Goal & Endline = 84".
- Goal (gray) = 6’ x 6’ (Lacrosse goal)
- A coin toss will decide who will get to choose which direction his team will score and whether his team will or not receive the ball at the start of the match.
- Two 24-minute periods with a 10-minute halftime and a 10-minute OT.
- Shot clock = 30 seconds.
- The ball is a tennis ball.
- The glove is a baseball glove.
- Teams may be coed, though they are not required to be.
- (GK) Goalkeeper - Defends the goal from inside the goal zone.
- (R) Ranger - Attack the goal and finish the plays and coordinate the offense with the other Strikers. Also defends the goal from the score zones, but cannot defend goal inside goal zone.
- There are unlimited substitutions.
- Substitutions occur after a score or during a timeout.
- All 5 or 9 Players may use either of these methods.
- Passing the Ball forward/backward/laterally to a teammate.
- Running with the ball.
- Goal Zone = 1pt.
- Inside 3-point arc = 2pts.
- Outside 3-point arc = 3 pts.
- Not following these rules will result in either a yellow or orange card.
- Yellow cards net a 3-minute suspension (counted as time in play, not real time).
- Orange cards result in removal from game.
- There is one referee for each match.
- No Contact is permitted.
- Fouls = Hitting a player, Using foul language.
- T-shirt, shorts, and shoes/cleats (grass/turf).
- Similar to rugby, both teams must wear their dark color uniforms during games unless the teams share similar colors; If that is the case, the designated home team will wear their dark color uniforms and the away team will wear either 1) their lighter color uniforms or 2) an alternative darker color uniform.
